The hotel il Castagno is situated
at 1000 mts. from sea level inside the national park of
the Appennino tosco-emiliano, a position which makes this
place enjoyable in every period of the year. In spring you can lay down in the meadows full
of blooming flowers and enjoy the first warm; in summer
you can walk or read in the shadow of a chest-nut tree,
do trekking, rides in mountain-bike and excursions with
a horse or simply enjoy the freshness; in autumn
you can walk in the woods, admire the wonderful colours,
try the emotion of finding some mushroom; in winter
you can play in the fields covered with snow (if there
is some) and then return to the hotel in the evening and
warm before the fire-place, drinking a good punch.
